Incoming UHC CEO & They Can't or Won't Pay Us!
He will get a base salary of $1 million a year, plus a one-time $60 million in grant options.
Outgoing UHC CEO:
UnitedHealth’s SEC filing dated May 12, 2025, indicates that Andrew Witty will receive a severance package equal to two times his annual base salary plus two times his bonus
What We Know About His Compensation:
  • Base Salary (2024): While his most recent base wasn't disclosed in the filing, earlier years showed salaries in the range of $1.1 million to $1.5 million .
  • Bonus/Incentive: Annual bonus has historically been at 200% of base salary, per his employment agreement
Estimated Severance CalculationAssuming:
  • Base Salary = $1.3 million (midpoint estimate)
  • Bonus = 200% of salary = $2.6 million
Then severance would be:
  • 2 × $1.3M + 2 × $2.6M = $2.6M + $5.2M = ~$7.8 million
